  • I love how people on here who even think the boy is old enough to make his own decision, refer to him as "boy", "child", "kid", "teenager". You cannot baptize any citizen without consent, and if they are not 18 or older, that consent belongs to the parent.

  • Yes, this school employee committed a crime, he should be fired, but not worth a lawsuit. Age 16 = Minor. He cannot make that decision.

  • mwhitney, I understand your insistence that your son does not need encouragement from outside figures like the President of your country, but he is part of a group. He's an American student. And that sub-group will hopefully benefit from a speech like this.

  • I agree, despite living in a Repubican house, I did not care for George W. Bush's policies. But he was still on my TV in front of my children when he spoke. Teach them their rights. Teach them the process. Do not teach them disrespect.
